Wow! That church is amazing- I bet the photos don’t even compare. The kids were in awe over my shoulder (Miss asked if we could go inside that castle one day).

Thanks for the tour of Montreal! I went there once in High School for a band trip and it was beautiful. and cold. but it looks like you all had a (mostly) fun time, and now I need one of those bean bag chairs. Darn it!

That beanbag chair is made of win. And the fact that the book being read in that photograph is “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” just puts a cherry on top!

The Church looks beautiful. I would have loved to see it in person. But pictures are the next best thing.

Also, I know your French is a bad as mine…but doesn’t hubby speak French on a somewhat descent level?? I though he did… This is bringing me flashbacks of visiting France (forget which town in particular) when I was on my German exchange in gr.11…only 2 people in our whole group of Canadian students were fluent enough to actually order from a menu or buy something from a store without simply pointing wildly and waving cash in the air.

great posts shannon…as always, love the writing.

A few notes though:

- Clearly the baby Jesus was being depicted working through some early ‘daddy’ issues.

- Love the celebratory shooting of the touries, though I am a bit confused, as I have always been under the impression that the Canadians are more of the non-violent types (i.e. the documetary “Canadian Bacon”…it’s possible that might note have been a doc…).

- and finally…define “saw a lot of action”. I’m not asking for pictures or anything, just not sure if I’m to fill in the blanks with my G-rated daddy brain, or my NC17-rated adolescent brain…very confusing.
