you are now entering the twilight zone…

Ok, my Canadian readers, what do you suppose THIS is:

You may be surprised to learn that this is Kellogg’s Corn Pops Breakfast cereal.  Weird, huh?  We Canucks expect our Corn Pops to be a perfectly and unnaturally round shape about the size of a marble. Why must corporations screw with our cereal???? Yet another reason why I currently feel like I’m in an episode of the Twilight Zone.

After a visit to the USA and discovering their weird shaped corn pops, I actually wrote a letter to Kellogg’s asking them what was up. (Aaaaahhhh, college days when one had time to do stupid things like that!) They actually wrote me back and said it was because of consumer testing and what consumers in the two different countries liked… Who knew we were so different?

    Teddi,
That’s hilarious! And awesome! I also found (on wikipedia) that the Canadian and American cereals actually differ in the nutritional information as well. Not a tonne, but a bit. Canadian CPs have a few more calories per serving. It’s all based on their research in different countries. Very strange! I wonder what other cereals will turn out to be totally different here?

Cap’n Crunch is ROUND? They’re rectangle shaped!
